Trimming point cloud to an elevation

I am mapping islands and it would be nice to “trim” the point cloud to an elevation (water level) so I do not get garbage as I occasionally get points below the water in the point cloud when the sensor is flying directly overhead and the bottom is dirty. I suspect there would be other applications where trimming a cloud to an elevation would be desirable.

This feature would also be great for cleaning data noise from models.

There are a couple of options:

  1. Order Rock Surveyor. The AI classification will remove these low noise points.

  2. Use the range gate within PCMaster

  3. Use the manual classification feature in the Rock Cloud

There is no specific remove / classify points below an elevation
