I am mapping islands and it would be nice to “trim” the point cloud to an elevation (water level) so I do not get garbage as I occasionally get points below the water in the point cloud when the sensor is flying directly overhead and the bottom is dirty. I suspect there would be other applications where trimming a cloud to an elevation would be desirable.
This feature would also be great for cleaning data noise from models.
There are a couple of options:
-
Order Rock Surveyor. The AI classification will remove these low noise points.
-
Use the range gate within PCMaster
-
Use the manual classification feature in the Rock Cloud
There is no specific remove / classify points below an elevation
