I have a question that I was hoping you all could help me out with.
I flew a job for the Department of Fisheries and they are seeking a SOP reference on the LiDAR data describing methods for obtaining the DEM from my LiDAR flight
Here is their question…
We are working on a project plan update and some reporting for our beaver dam analog project. Dept. of Ecology asked us for a standard operating procedure or a reference that describes your methods for obtaining an accurate DEM from the LiDAR drone flight. Ideally, it would be something published rather than just written up by us. I think you used ground control points and RTK on your drone. I think they are more interested in measures to ensure quality data collection than in the post-processing. Are you aware of any references or manuals that describe a process similar to what you did? Even if it is close, but not exact it would be very helpful.
Let me know if you guys have any recommendations can provide me some information on that.
