I am reaching out to see what sort of use cases there are using the ROCK Hydrology deliverable and/or working with hydrologists in general. I understand the R2A/R360 does not penetrate water/water bodies, so you would not be able to get the surface elevations below. I understand that you get a hydro-flattened DEM from the hydrology deliverable, which acts as a artificial water surface, possessing basic characteristics of surface water. and in the case of streams/rivers, you get a gradient/downhill artificial water surface. If anyone has any use-cases or problems solved using the ROCK Hydrology deliverable, I would be interested to hear!
