R3 Pro V2 Mobile Mount (Masking)

Hello I can not seem to find any discussing on masking out my car from my data collection. I see the back of the car throughout my collection.

This is Andrew with ROCK Support. Instructions for masking out the car from your Mobile Mount dataset can be found in a .TXT file that is within both the “Cam1/Font” and “Cam1/Back” folders within the Dataset. Instructions should be as follows:

  1. Copy an image from the respective “front” or “back” directory into this directory. This image will be used as your masking template.
  2. Open this image in your favorite image editor.
  3. Using the “polygon” or “rectangle” tool, select the area of the image that you want to mask.
  4. Using the “fill” tool, fill the selected area with the color green. This color is represented in RGB as (0, 255, 0), i.e. it is fully green with no red or blue.
  5. Resave the image in the same format and with the same name as the original image. It is important to turn off compression when you save this image. On some image editors, this is done by setting the quality to 100%.
  6. Make sure there is only one image in the global_mask directory at a time.
